While our goal  is to empower the under privileged sections of society by providing them with the resources  to educate themselves, we realize that education does not happen in a vacuum. Our objective is to remove all hindrances  financial or otherwise that prevent  students from coming to school. Towards this end  our activities can broadly be classified into three main areas:

Free Educational Resources  :

Shail Foundation  provides school fees, study material, uniform and other fees to over 600 students every year currently. Our objective is to increase this number till we ensure that no child in the country lacks the basic education due to financial constraint.

Health :

Our survey identified two main reasons for  children  falling ill frequently  which affects their education adversely.     1] lack of nutrition and  2] drinking polluted, untreated water. Shail Foundation has been active in conducting regular health camps for children where we provide them with vital nutrients and medicines. We with the help of our team of doctors organize health camps for teenage girls also. We have also installed water purification plants at schools to ensure students children get access to pure  drinking water.

Technology :

We supply solar lamps to areas that do not have electricity, so students can study comfortably at night. We also encourage schools to focus on computer-based education by setting up computer labs and providing the necessary tools to enable digital literacy.
